Lowe’s investing $250 million in skilled-trades training

It’s encouraging to see a major national investment like this.

Lowe’s has announced a $250 million commitment to help train the next generation of plumbers, carpenters, and electricians. That kind of support sends a strong message: skilled trades matter, and the future workforce depends on practical, hands-on learning.

This is exactly why Skilled Hands Training Center was created.

Our mission is to introduce young people, homeowners, and veterans to foundational skills that build confidence, responsibility, and real-world capability. Long before someone steps onto a jobsite or chooses a career path, they deserve the opportunity to learn how to work with their hands and understand how things are built.

It’s encouraging to see national companies recognizing what many of us in the trades have known for years — these skills are essential, and they are worth investing in.

Momentum is building, and Skilled Hands Training Center is proud to be part of that movement right here in Dallas.
